Full motorised set up required, stoke-on-trent

hi,
try fitting yourself, thats the way to learn, when i put my first dish up a couple of years ago, it was a nightmare, but you learn things,(i'm still not that good, but know the basics ), i'm in Stoke myself, watch out for the dodgy installers,who'll try and rip you off.
(have you got your set up or are you still looking for one ?)

No disrespect mate but nudger is asking on this forum for an installer i dont think many of them are dodgy because they all get feedback , and ADMIN would not tolerate dodgy installers posting.
 
There is a guy in stoke who only installs the motorised dish etc for £160......i am also in stoke, and was told abut this person yesterday.....He seems to be making a fortune kitting out loads of pubs with the new viasat card etc....charging £1900 for a "all in" package......If you are still interested i can give you his details...but i do think if its possible that you try to install it yourself...I have also been told that he runs a p##ser###.....tut tut tut
 
thanks for the replies guys, i am a very big novice and have read around a bit and am no wiser on what system and kit i want. Help and advice would be appreciated.. Or the offer of an istallation by a professional at a good price would also be welcome
 
Hi any help or advice would be welcome, i have read around but still no wiser as to what system i would need. I don't want something too technical just something that would get me the sports etc.. So if someone wants to advise me on dishes, set ups etc or wants to offer to install me a set up for a price then feel free to post and let me know. Is there any pm facility on here or email system for contact?

Hi

You need to decide which route you are going

Fixed or motorised

HD or SD

Linux or not

1.1M motorised , Stab HH100 or Darkmotor , Triax 1.1M installed would be circa £300 I estimate

You need to ask a mod to enable your PM's - I think from memory

Hi, thanks for that well motorised i think would be the way to go, would you say linux is quite easy for a novice? would you recommend HD over SD??

Well for a new system, it seems silly not to splash a little extra wonga and go HD.
 
yes i suppose its the future isn't it. How much extra would a HD system cost?.. If a mod reads this could you please enable my pm option as i cannot pm you to ask :D

No problem - I suppose there's a chance he hasn't got it done yet, but a year is a long time for someone with a twitchy dish :D
