Is there a games consoles section ? Not just for playing games, some where to discuss other uses ect? If not could we add one please?
 
Gaming is not really within the forum principles, hence the very small amount of posting. There was a section with online games that I did engage with once or twice a month, but these days there really is no time once work has finished, which it never does.

If you are thinking of the uses of the consoles outside the usual shootem up (video conferencing/server/gateway/home automation) then a dedicated section can be made available..
 
I was thinking more about, apart from games things we can do with a console. For example a ps 1 aparantly make a really good CD player.

And the Xbox one is the biggest heap of cr@p going, so I wanted to find any other use for it.

Try a search for 'other uses for Wii/PS3/Xbox and you will find out what others have done with them once they run out of games.
 
On the old "Fat" PS2s you could install Windows on there and use it as a PC, not a very powerful one though, but it was possible, the PSX/PSone (PSX was the big grey thing, PSone the shrunk-down, external-PSU version) you just started up sans-disc and from the menu that pops up you could select the CD player to play audio CDs, and the PS3, up until fairly recently, you could install Linux on them, but they removed the "Alternative OS" option from the system as people were using it to alter games and cheat online, so that was dropped in fairness to honest players... :)

As for EggsBoxes, they make great door-stops... :-rofl2

Yes, me for one, I don't cheat, I just play dirty in GTA Online, especially in the races... :D

Oh it is, but I like to annoy the crap out of canadians when racing, cos they always end up stuck at the back... :D
