First impressions, looks good. From reading IHAD, there is a CIFS fix - and now I can't use /var/etc/profile to mount the CIFS share on my PC.

But it works excellent from setting it in the web GUI....so I am happy. And I recorded 3 movies from M*ltivisi*n and T*qul*a last night and the box did not freeze.... so

:-DOH! 'O'-red :-bash :-flame:-boom:-saw

DBedit doesn't backup the motor settings. How useless is that?

what about one of the other settings managers?
I can't talk, I had to redo my DiseqC settings which I now know very well (as they were not 28/19/13 as I would have expected :-DOH2 ) :-DOH!

Too late... gotta start all over again. 'O'-red

System date can only be set to 1969 to 1973

There is no EPG

When viewing a list channels it doesn't show the program for each channel

my c(l)ock's fine too.....it pulls it off big bird ;) :-bash
can you view any channels? Can you at least get reception from one sat?

This release is meant to be shite, and the last gemini dm500 stable image was 2.4

I recorded some TV yesterday. Watched it. When I went back to TV mode it had wiped all the channel names and replaced them with "removed service".

My advice- don't install 2.90 :-DOH!

the only problem I've had is when the blokes drilling in blocks in my garden using my leccy supply tripped the safety cut-off 5 times in 10 minutes, resetting DB to "virgin" 2.90.... :-bash :-bash :-bash

Thankfully, I backed-up and all's OK :-beer

It doesn't seem as stable as the last one and I'm not interested in any new "features" only stability ;)

was the old one working perfectly for you?

yes? :)

then why try it? :-bash :-rofl2 :-DOH!

;)

I'd say the last one was flaky, this one is worse.

Reason to try? You'd hope a new release is more stable. When I get back from holiday it's going back to 2.40- I haven't seen anything that wasn't in 2.40. Maybe 3.0 will be stable (or should that be "more stable")? ;)

Hello..... :P
