Geoff Hughes, late of Coronation Street, Keeping Up Appearances and The Royle Family, has died aged 68, succumbing to prostate cancer.

He also did the voice of Paul McCartney in The Yellow Submarine, plus many other TV series.

R.I.P Geoffrey.

Oo-eck. Just been watching a small tribute to him on Nort-West Tonight and discovered that he was born in Wallasey. So was my mother and she came from Hughes stock.

Maybe a distant relative? Will have to check this out!

I remember him in all the above and am sorry to hear he has died so young from prostate cancer which in 2010 he thought he had beaten
