George Kennedy RIP

Sad news. A long acting career, mostly as a heavy - I first remember him as the hook-handed tough bothering Cary Grant in the 1963 film 'Charade' - particularly the scene where he slips off a roof, his hook scraping and sparking the tiles as he slides off.
Won an Oscar as Paul Newman's partner in 'Cool Hand Luke'. Acting right up to 2014 apparently.

R.I.P. George.
 
I also remember him prior to the Naked Gun series as a supporting heavy. He embraced taking himself not seriously with glee.

Yes I remember him in Airport? and other as mentioned supporting heavy roles
