Plenty of 90s music currently on VIVA

2018-12-31 08.15.00 (Medium).jpg

Instead of midnight ending, they seem to end broadcast with normal time schedule. Noon time in UK I believe

Lets hope they are not playing same playlist twice. 'Femme like u' and 'boom boom boom' coming one after another _twice_ this morning now

...not that I would just watch the tv (working on pc), but little variety would be nice for the 'background music' :-rofl2

The only music channel I really ever watch these days is either Stars.TV on 13E or Bulgaria's Planeta - not so much for the music on the latter but a ton of eye candy.

Yes, most music tv channels these days, if not straight up suck - are bland and play the same 30 track playlist of 6-12 month old hits. No newer music, no older music. Some good ones still though exist:

-The Voice Bulgaria - very fresh playlist, often play music others wont yet play. Sometimes if video does not exist, they create one for the song
:-rofl2 :Y

-Like you mentioned Stars TV, but also 4.fun.tv with 3 different versions, Power TV, Polo TV, Vox etc Polish channels

- specialized 28e channels like Keep It Country, Total Country, Kerrang, maybe KISS. Shame Clubland is ruined nowadays.. playing too much obscure cheesy stuff

- MTV Germany also seems to be somewhat okay middle of the road channel nowadays - lets just hope they keep playing music instead of South Park reruns

To topic - VIVA has 'Final Countdown 1993' and 'VIVA Forever - Die Show' left, then its bye bye VIVA :(

Yes, my german is also very rusty, but understood some, like "how many years have you worked at Viva? You started at 99" etc etc

"We were going to have interview with Janet Jackson in Paris but the camera went kaputt"

Btw from the group Blumchen seems to be the most silent one, geek-ish (in a good way), nice to see someone being like she sings

RIP Viva, like a few others in the past few months.

Music content (those with accompanying video ) is now firmly in the hands of online delivery.

Snaps from the 'VIVA Forever - Die Show':

1 (Small).png
Jan, Mola, Oli, Sarah, Loona & Collien

2 (Small).png
Picture time

3 (Small).png
Loona did playback show - good idea on paper, but the song was so overplayed in past, that old hosts and guests had hard time looking like they did not want to walk away :-rofl2

Would have been much better if Sarah of Blumchen would have singed instead or also

4 (Small).png
Second last song - obvious and good choice, fit the broadcast very good. RIP VIVA

5 (Small).png
Last song after hearing last farewell messages from artists and host such as DJ Bobo. Last message was from 'Die Fantastischen Vier', apparently their Nov '93 release 'Zu geil für diese Welt' ( = Too cool for this world) was VIVA's first video played 25 years ago in 1 Dec 1993. Good choice to end with same song as first one.

6 (Small).png
At the end of video the screen faded to huge VIVA logo

7 (Small).png
Then this last message appeared for 20 seconds or so. RIP VIVA

PM function is not available to brand new members. But maybe @Captain Jack will respond.

It was a long time ago and he may not have the files any more.

Yes I still have loads of old Viva, TMF Be and NL and MTV rips.

Really need to restore my database to see what I actually have!
