Getting started, advice needed.

Hi all

I am proposing to purchase a receiver with cam slot this week, (my only experience thus far has been FTA boxes and Sly Digiboxes).

I am looking at getting a Samsung DSB A200-c as I've seen these for a very good price (€140), or something called a 'Sky Pilot'. Does anyone which, if either, are any good?

Also, what Cam should I go for, I really would like to pick-up BBC Prime, Eurosport (Eng) and something like Cartoon Network for minimum outlay. I know nothing about programming, keys, hex files etc, but I want to learn! I'm considering a Matrix Revolution Cam, but don't really have a clue.

Any answers or links to beginners guides etc appreciated.
 
Don't have any experience with the receiver I'm afraid, the CAM is OK, but there is a bit of competition in the market place at the moment and as yet there is no clear winner.

You may consider looking at one of the flashable receivers like the Dreambox, for this type of receiver you do need to know your way around a computer though.

What I would really like to know I suppose is what's possible in terms of encrypted channels with a suitable Cam, cards, software etc. I have seen the Dreambox, but was under the impression (without reading much on the subject) that it wasn't really an entry level option. I shall look into it further.

Meanwhile am I being realistic in expecting to be able to clear the channels I mentioned (for example), if I can eventually figure out what I'm doing and buy the right stuff?
