What box will you use go cband?

Nope, none of that is helpful for C. You need 2x C band LNBs, 2x C band LNB holders and 2x conical feeds. The ones that come with LNBs are useless as they are for PF dishes.

And why 2? One for linear and another for circular polarity. Both LNBs are identical with exception of the depolariser plate which will be inside your circular LNB.

Thank you CJ, Well why do people have two ?, I don't want to be going outside to fit something if that's the case using one ?,

Is there a typica C-band f/D for the feed horns used?
I am thinking most Ku stuff uses 0.6 f/D integrated feed horns.
Do you use the same feed horn on a C-band LNB, or do you get an LNBF (say, Chapparal) that has a f/D of 0.6.
(I know I know, in a moment RimanTSS will start going on about opening and llumination angles :))

I am unsure atm Chris, I need to buy something new for the controller to work, something I need to read up on.

And also neighbours asking every time that "does it still broken?", when putting plate back:-rofl2

I got fed up with the plate too. And if you put the LNBs the right way round you don't need to move the dish as far. Satellites at the east end of the arc are circular and at the west end of the arc, linear. So put the linear LNB on the east side.

Many thanks Huevos good tip :).

I've just been looking at the voltage switching type LNB, what is the run down with them please apart from the price .

Same as Universal. V/R = 13v, H/L = 18v. Probably what everyone here is using.

With Christmas just round the corner, my daughter is clamouring for my present list so that she can buy me something I really want, and not just socks, ties etc. After racking my brain I've come up with a Radio Caroline Sweatshirt, a cheap radio with usb for the Citroën Acadiane ( which is my daily drive ) and turning to my satellite hobby maybe a C band LNB.
Do you think the one sold by Titanium is a good starting point? I have no experience in C band. My daughter is coming round for lunch tomorrow, so I don't have much time!

Long topic here about that Titanium. In fact I am maybe onlyone who think only positive about that Lnb:) Maybe it working better with mesh?

Hi Hughes, I am in the same boat as you (no experience in C band) it looks like only Kveys rates it he is using a mesh dish,

Anyhow I ordered one yesterday and it will be with me before 1PM today, I will be fitting it and having a play as and when I can, I need to do a little mod on my 1.2 CM to make it fit, try and keep an eye out for my posts I will report anything I find :).

No CJ, I did not buy a conical feed, I will and try and make one first, I also did not get an adaptor, I have an idea for the adaptor.
