Hi I hope someone can advise ive currently got a Gibertini 1.25 and iam very happy with it anyway i may have to get rid of it and move to a 1m dish due to planning restrictions does anyone know how the two dishes compare performance wise or is is there a better 1 m dish available under £100 cheers

Can no one offer a real world performance comparison on this two dishes or even an alternative dish in the 1 m range

"a real world performance comparison"

Its the difference between not getting anything from Arabsat 30.5E and getting some feeds plus Medi1. It increases the available transponders on 31.5E from 1 to all the westerly ones. Can't get 31W on the 1m nor can I get the Algerian beam on 5W using the 1m, both are fine on 1.25. £ for LB you can't really go wrong with the 1m Gibertini, there wont be much to better it, a CM maybe but I doubt that will last long on a diseqc motor like the Gibby will.

Cheers for the for the reply ive never looked at 30e OR 31w its mostly 0.8w,4.8 e 26e and 7w iam interested in I assume the rest or fairly powerful so having a 1m will not make any real differience in my location,if i could get away with my 1.25 i would just use that tbh.

I have had both and like anything it depends on location but if your asking about 7° west in particular then on the Gibby 1m with Black Ultra i lost it in the rain with the 1.25 its not a problem

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Unfortunately dropping down a size (and the 40+ % reduction in area) is always going to be to your disadvantage.

Can you not resite the dish somewhere where nobody would notice it ? Stick up an 80cm anyway in the old spot to put them off the scent.
