Morning (just). Had an early look around for damage. One branch off a local tree and two fence panels with broken feathering, but nothing serious. Then went back to sleep.
 
Last night was the first proper cold one of the season, bloody room was freezing as per......

Was -2 during the night, bit of a sleety do this morning, now it's up to about +3 degrees, positively balmy... :-lol

Hmm... we had -7 the other night after some rain (cold-front passing).
(Almost) had to do the car windscreen icing with hammer and chisel to get the kids to school.
And it's still only November...

Hasn't your new wall insulation made any difference to the temperatures in the house, and have you had the attic properly insulated - otherwise the place will effectively be a heat "chimney" with all of it going out through the roof"?
