Grundig Digibox Problem

Has anyone come across the following probelm which is happening on two
different Grundig boxes (different dish/LN
Approx two or three times each evening and always while changing channels
the box power appears to power down and after about 30 seconds goes to red light (st bi.) When switched on it has to go thru the usual searching for listings.
One box is Sky Sub and the other is just FTV.
Would a forced software download help. ?
Any advice appreciated.

The Grundig's have given several problems which arise from capacitor failure in the power supply board.

After (if?) they're fixed you should make sure that the boxes are not in a tight hole where they might overheat.

You could also think about a fitting cooling fans to them.

There may be a problem with the new software recently downloaded to grundig digiboxes,sky engineers are looking to transmit a patch to correct this.This may or may not be the problem.............brian
