GTMedia GTCombo 4:2:2 receiver

I hope GTmedia pays a few of you, because this kind of advertisement for them is simply priceless...

Despatched mine very quickly, think the only hold up was customs in the UK.

Mine was shipped the same day but no progress still showing, was it the same with you ?

Has anyone got the Ka band LOFs working?? Loaded the new 17 sw tried 17250 which is a hundred out for my Hughes LNB, blind scanned 19E Ka nowt!! Entered it manually..nowt, put in the old 9750 from the menu and it works a treat, but obviously showing the wrong frequency. So first impression for me is something else they've added that doesn't work! Also the box crashed scanning 47W C band..

Note I'm using H instead of V to get more volts to the LNB, before anyone says I'm using the wrong polarity..

And why is the combo unable to display a picture with Sky Feeds on 16E? The V8 4K receiver has no problem ..20220605_094408.webp20220605_094324.webp

No, I got tracking info for a few days, then no further updates until it was delivered.
Bear in mind the tracking info was useless anyway though.

Scopus, I have the same software in my GT Combo and have no frequency error when using LOF=17250.

Hi Simon, not a error as such, but showing no signal unless I put back in a 9750 LOF. Are you saying yours is working? And did you factory reset the box after the new sw was installed? Thanks..

Yes mine is working fine on Equ tv.

Just done a Blind Scan and it still gets the frequency right. In order to program my box for Ka sats I used a satellite at 117W and reprogrammed it to have a LOF of 17250. I don't use Diseqc here.

Glad it works for you. I have factory reset the box now, still only works with LOF 9750...

Cock, iv'e a feeling that DiSEqC is a bit flakey on the Combo, using either a EMP-Centauri or Spaun 8way DiSEqC switch i can watch a signal on the Promax screen and see the signal pulse On/Off - switching to another port i believe. Select a different LO setting and it behaves. When i spoke to Owen (tester) he thought it might be the supplied 1.5amp psu struggling that's causing the issue so iv'e been running my Combo on a bench psu for a while and monitoring the current consumption taken by the Combo/8way switch/Global active splitter/ lnb - NO motors used to drive the dish from the Combo, the maximum current consumption iv'e ever seen being drawn was just under 1amp, usually around 600mA average, so i don't think it's a psu problem but i do suspect something is upsetting the DiSEqC operation. Iv'e disconnected my 8way switch now for testing purposes but iv'e still got my suspicions it's a rx problem. Is it possible to quickly by-pass your switch, connect directly from the rx to the lnb on the dish and do a quick test ?.

John, seems bloody odd it will work when the 9750 LOF is selected which goes through my powered Diseqc multiswitch?? The Icone has a user LOF setting and had no problem, going through the same multiswitch, same Diseqc setting etc..I checked the Icone just to double check it wasn't a Diseqc/multiswitch problem..Not a big deal using 9750 LOF though..I think that DVB app the combo uses needs a re-write..
