Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Oct 31st, Halloween - 3 knocks on the door.
1st = next door's kid and his Mum!
2nd - 6-8 kids
3rd - 8+ kids and the last (and oldest at around 12'ish!) one didn't even say "Thanks" :-doh

So, only 3 "lots", whereas, a few years ago, you could have doubled/tripled that number:-doh

"Halloween" seems "nearly dead" in the UK, or at least here!:-rofl2

COME ON! Otherwise you not quite the "nice person" for which we would hope! :(

For us, it's quite nice/"amusing" to have the neighbours' kids in (frankly ridiculous!) kit knocking on the door and doing the "trick or treat" stuff for a few chocs, and so on, in return :D

I think I'll keep the chainsaw by the door, certainly a good trick to chase them down the street like one of them horror movie loons...

Not that anyone does come knocking, cos people round here are smart it seems........

If your area is like ours then I doubt you'll need the chainsaw!

A few years ago we would get 12-15 "visitors" over the 2-3 days upto and including Haloween, then it gradually declined so that last year we had only 4-5 on the night itself - but, tonight, we've had only one group (about 2 hrs ago) so far and are unlikely to get any more (so, probably none at all next year) :(.

On the bright side, we always get a tub of HEROS (which we like:D ) ready for the "visitors" - and so we won't need to buy any more before Xmas :D

I went to tesco earlier this evening and to be honest, I could have taken my chainsaw given how many zombies were there, and that was just the staff working there... :-rofl2

Due to this lack of activity some of the younger generation will loose the use of all limbs except the index finger

OTOH, an hours or so ago, we had a couple more unexpected knocks on the doors (actually the bell was wrung!) from "visitors" - young though they were, it was good to see them - and we had a few laughs with their "minders" (parents!):D, although I doubt that the kids understood/ appreciated my comments that they should have been in bed by then (none were more than about seven, and it was nearly 9pm )
