My Satellite Setup
dm7020 1m dish moteck motor
i installed the hydra image yesterday got to grips with that,then i downloaded and ftpd newcamd 5.28 to both var/key and var/tmp files if i have messed up can i just install another image to wipe everything and start again because i can not seem to get any of the channels .thanks
 
Yes, that's the nice thing with the Dreambox, just install a new image, may I suggest perhaps the Gemini?

thanks guys i feel better now ,can anyone give me a link to a good site for images as i have been struggling to find any .plus could you tell me what i need to get some channels up and running ,and most important were i put them in the 7020 ive been reading posts till my head almost explodes i think i need some help many thanks
 
thanks i have done a factory reset but hydra is still on there is that correct .i hold the top button down untill i see factory reset on the lcd panal still keep it pressed untill the dreambox wizard comes on .thanks for the help keep it comming i think im going to need it.
 
I doubt that many people would "defect" from here to sat ind forum- not the friendliest board and how many times can you spot the word "banned" in a thread? ;)

its good to look at all the boards but i find this one helpfull.i reflashed original image ok then i put sf image in all ok but now i have put hydra back in . i have now downloaded newcamd 5.28 can anyone tell me what file i ftp it to in the 7020 and do i put all of it in as in the comlpete yellow folder or just some of it.thanks for the help guys

I would flash the latest gemeni image Kerry then download the gemeni manager. You can add in your add ons through this. Newcamd + latest keys 22.4.05 work if they dont for you ftp over yous to Var>Bin & scce. Reboot and away you go.
 
thanks john ,but i keep reading that the gemimi is a mod and not an image. i use dream up to flash and it only flash's nfi files, were can i download a gemini image ive looked all over for 7020 image. there complecated things these dreambox's

thanks guys i have dowloaded all the files for gemini, i have installed the startmenu to tmp with ftp but now iam stuck on using telnet because i also have to telnet the file s over . i type in "ipkg install/tmp/start*" press enter and then it tells me it can not find files . i am using dreambox control center do i have to place the files somewere in the dcc for them to be telenetted or am i not typing the address in corectley any help would great thanks
