Two patients limp into two different British medical clinics with the same complaint.

Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.

The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day, has a time booked for surgery the next day and, within two days, is home recuperating.

The second sees the family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then waits eighteen weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month and finally has his surgery scheduled for 6 months from then.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

So true and so sad.

Hahaha...i thought you would going to say Tony Blair is the one to blaim.

Here's one for you, a guy goes to his doctor wanting to find out how to get checked for Epilepsy, doctor just uses technical jargon and a Vicky Pollard impression, so the guy gets nowhere. The following week, the guy goes back with his mother who the doctor has had severe dealings with in the past, and hey presto, the guy is booked in for blood tests, urine tests, and an appointment to see a neurologist...

That guy was me, I think it's time that my doctor retired and effed off cos he is just so useless unless you tell him what needs to be done and when... 'O'-red
