I've got sky plus and when the engineer came to fit it he told me the LNB would support another sky plus box or two standard sky systems.

Went out and bought another sky box second hand and got a sky card (with the yellow house) on e-bay.

Also bought a violet pheonix card writer thinking I should be able to copy my card and stick it into the second sky box so I can record four channels instead of two.

Now I am confused. Downloaded Opos loader and to be frank am completely lost:confused:

Thought it was going to be straight forward but need help.

Grateful for some advice.

Give it up as a bad job, you cannot copy a Sky card..... if it was possible 60% of the population would be doing it.
 
So is it possible to get the second sky plus box to record or receive channel4, channel 5 etc without another card?
 
Nope, afraid not, you'll have to fork out the £10 per month for a multiroom subscription.
 
What about if I phone sky and say my goldfish eat my card would a replacement be usable alongside the original?
 
No - Sky will instantly cancel the original card!

Bugger .............Oh well thanks for the help. Looks like the man wins again.

Feel a bit daft for buying that second sky card now......DOH
