Hi,
as it states I am very new and very raw to this, have puchased sat system trawled the sites gathering information now going to set up BUT I have two questions that i am unsure about and would be grateful if someone could clarify
1 my lat is 55.189 and -4.439 do I set the latitude scale on the motor to 55 to tie in with where my latitude

2 my lat and long are 55.819 and -4.439

prob the simplest of questions but they are the ones that have me stumped, as stated an absolute newbee at this and would like to thank in advance for any charitable pointers in lay mans terms

sorry q2 is what would be my refrence sat be

Your true south satellite is determined by your longitude reading, in this case -4.439, negative figures are West positive figures are East, so your nearest satellites are 4W & 5W, probably easiest to set your system up on 5W.

Yes.

Motor set to 55 on its Latitude scale.

Dish bracket set to 22.3 deg (Roughly - this will need to be adjusted during final alignment).

If intending to use USALS, enter 55.2N and 4.4W (or -4.4) into the relevant fields in your Receiver.

I commend you to read the simple to follow Instruction Leaflet that came with your Moteck. The "Quick Method" is truly quick.

Once entering your longitude into USALs software, drive the dish to the calculated 5W position and align up for that satellite. If using the receiver, check you have an active transponder showing.
