help getting more channels

I am stationed in Iraq and recently bought a starcom x550d ultra receiver from a local national shop by our FOB, this is the only receiver they sell. My question is, Is there a way for me and my unit to input code to be able to receive more english speaking channels as well as the lineup of channels from s_x-view or Erotic tv? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

what satellite are you looking at from iraq and with what dish size?

I'm sorry I should have included that. It is Hotbird at 13 deg. The dish is at least 30 inches in diameter.
