help me in DM streming

I know streaming when I am using my laptop on local area mean on same hub my DM & my PC attach but how can I stream when I access my DM from a remote location I can open the webpage of my DM but how can I watch channel??Any idea in this regard will be appreciated. emember in normal condition I use VLC when I am using computer on local network but while accessing it from a remote location when I click on VLC it won't show anything

the remote location needs VLC installed also, and remember that you need to forward a port to view the stream from a remote location, i think it's port 8080 you need to open. Baring in mind that if you do this, you will not be able to use 8080 for any other device in your network from a remote location.

When you click the stream from the browser it will be attached to the local ip address and not the external ip address or dns. If i remember rightly you need to edit the stream file with the external ip address or dns and then add on the port number.

There's a guide on how to do this somewhere. I cannot really remember much as it's been a long time since i did it, i hope this helps.

Maybe somebody else can shed some light on this for me.
