plz tell me how to connet my recciver with pc via rs-232 and which softwares are needed to uograde any help will be appericiated

Might need to supply a little more info before ppl can help. Re, connection, you will require a null cable I believe.

my reciever is openbox x-800 i got null cable and i connected it with my computer via RS-232. but it didn't show any thing..can u tell me which software i might need...

You need loader software to run on your PC. Try on alsat, there is an OpenBox toolkit on there, that may have what you need.:)
 
can you please tell me where i can get this software and how to operate it...and plz again tell me the site address i couldn't understand thanks for ur reply..
