Hi
I currently have an old phoenix apollo converted to open box and pc with a 1m dish motorised- about 4+years old

i am looking to change my receiver to a hd receiver. A couple of options look to be spider box, eagle box hd etc. Has anyone any ideas.

Important things are network and c line compatibility

Only want upgrade as my old laptop connected to receiver is now broken

there are loads of options available i think stipulating a price point to what you would spend may throw up a good selection of receivers

well eagle box is 85ish, spider box approx 160. not too concerned on price, just want a good receiver, wifi option also needed as router is in garage

HD on WIFI from your garage, I personally doubt it to be honest, HD has an enormous appetite for DATA

I have bt infinity, currently get hd via xbox and ps3

A lot of the E2 linux receivers will run a USB wi-fi dongle but they have to be a certain brand the easiest solution is either a Vonet's or Tandem wi-fi bridge adaptor.

If your not too concerned on price then have a look at the Xtrend / Clarke - Tech 6000 and 9200 or the VU+ Solo or Duo, or how about the Dreambox range 500hd 800se etc.
