Thanks for those clips huevos, The one that bit me was big fat and I suspect ready to drop her eggs or whatever they do. As I told you I felt it and she drew blood the blighter. Another downside of living in Spain. lol.

Just to clarify, Barry has a subscription with Sky, so I'm not sure what he gets through a share. The problem ended up being a faulty LNB on the motorised dish which stopped the motor turning (maybe caused by voltage drop). Because 28ºE comes from a fixed dish all the channels on there worked, but not the ones from the motorised which lead Barry to believe there was a fault with CCcam which in the end there was not. But he has got another fault too. If he does a hot restart of the Dreambox it will not reboot and needs to be left unplugged for several hours, where upon plugging it back in it does boot up again. Has anyone come across this before?

With my 500s clone and pli jade3 maxvar if i quickly kill power and turn it back on again the boot screen can hang, sometimes for upto half an hour, same can be said if I choose reboot or restart enigma from the power button menu

I have to turn the box off by the power switch on the back, leave it for a while (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours) and turn the switch back on, I`ve always presumed it was a firmware or processor fault

What firmware is on the 800?

Not sure what image it is. And I doubt it is getting hot because it is sitting on top of a laptop cooler with 3 fans.

Yes, I won't mention who from but the set up was quite good until recently but it seems to have gone downhill recently.

In that case thread closed - ANY discussion / help whatsoever with problems that may or may not be caused pay servers is absolutely forbidden on this forum.

Not that it makes much difference now its been sorted but we have to stick to the rules.
