Help with Cam files please

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox 7020, HH120 Discq notor with Triax 1.1m
Just got a 7020 and downloaded some cam files:-

camd_3712_dream_CABO
newcamd fuer 7020
Scam_7020

The notes (where there are any) are in German so I am rather stuck.

Anyone know what to do with them?
 
Once I get the FTP going I will post findings so others can learn from my mistakes.
 
If u are using original image there are not much u can do whith your s-cams.
Download Hydar or gemini and u have more options... happy hunting Pierre

Take a look at www-dot-dreambox.com and follow the 7020 link.
There are numerous downloads for the 7020 including firmware, images, EMU's advice etc. However this is only an exterior website and you will still need to do a lot of homework/research before you get the hang of the 7020 operating system.

Try to get hold of a Trillenium image as it has the option of adding Cams (EMU'S) directly , thus saving the need to FTP.

As this is still a relatively new box and few users have one the info available is somewhat limited, however this is getting better as more people move up the ladder as it were.

Be-aware that a lot of info flying about is not relevant to the 7020 as it is able to do more than previous boxes and somewhat simplified!!! so they tell us.

The link appears to go to some sort of painter web site!

Installed Gemini add on and got it to update from web but it is still not right. The key files do not appear where they should according to links elsewhere and I do not seem to have any way to edit them.

Noticed that Trillenium 2 is out so may have a go with that (do the key files etc go where wwwDOTdreamboxworldDOTcom/dbw/main.htm say they should be in this image?
 
Your best bet is to add the key files manually: var/keys for newcamd and var/scce for the others.

it's the other way round : /var/scce for newcamd, /var/keys for the others.
But as we're talking 7020, these directories might be different. Okay, not might, ARE. I think it's /var/tuxbox/scce now for newcamd 6.
key downloads should be more-or-less automatic with most images (Gemini, ruDream, PLi).
 
Yes, sorry your path is the right one... the readme isn't the easiest to read in Notepad with all those unix carriage returns.... Whenever I've tried to do a key update via the image I find the "new" keys are older than those from Spartan (which I FTP from my PC to DB).
