Help with ku band etc

My Satellite Setup
1.2M Channel Master, C120 Invacom 0.3 LNB & Feedhorn, with Tm.Vbox &Technomate 5402HD

Hi guys i see lot of talk about ku band c band etc what are these bands what's different from my cm feedhorn you get more channels ? better signal ?is it like am/fm?
 
No, C-Band is a lower frequency range, requiring a different LNB and feedhorn, a 1.2m dish is really the minimum for C-Band reception and you won't be able to receive much.

Please can someone tell me which LNB is the best for Malta, either the C-Band or the KU-band?

i would say ku band but what you want to receive and size dish is another story.
what size dish and what type of receiver.
bbc is out in your area we tried a 4 meter dish here in naples italy and it was not possible.

I have a 1m dish and a DM80 HD. I am going to upgrade the dish for 1.2m but don't know what type of LNB shall I use. If KU-band or C-band. Don't know what is the diff between them. I wish to improve some of the SKY uk channels like movie channels HD on Bskyb because no signal receive. channels not HD are good with 45% signal. Channels that are on sky digital not receiving and transmission.

Ku Band LNB is for Ku Band, which carries Sky Digital
C Band LNB is for C Band Transmissions, and there are none from BSkyB.

In fact, there are no C Band transmissions of any type from 28E, so the choice is easy.

. sky transmitts on 28.2 east and on ku band.
you may need a bigger dish to receive this in malta.
but the dish needs to be aligned and you need a card activated to receive this

Most stuff on C-band is destined for Africa, Asia, South America and the Caribbean, i.e. mainly places in the tropics where Ku-band reception is not so stable. Most people on here who have a C-band set-up do it for fun, or just because they can, but not for serious viewing. It's kind of like a window to other worlds and cultures. To be serious about C-band you really need a 2.4m or bigger dish.
