No, not a so-called celebrity/rock star/media 'personality'.

Henry Allingham, the world's oldest man has died aged 113.

He lived through three centuries and survived WW1, a gentleman in every sense of the world. A dying breed unfortunately.

Rest in peace Henry, you surely deserve it.

How the world must have changed through his lifetime

R.I.P Henry

The word "hero" is often used to describe modern day .They couldn't touch this gentleman.:-worship

Indeed very sad, however what a vast change in the world he has known. I am sure he must have marvelled at some of the changes that have taken place. RIP Henry

RIP,
He was visiting schools warning children of the horrors of way right up until he took ill in June.

That generation knew real hardship, but they never complained.

I liked his quote on how he managed to live so long...

Allingham credited "cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women - and a good sense of humour" for his longevity

What a guy!!!

An astonishingly long innings but sad all the sme.

I think that leaves just Harry Patch left from the Great War now.

A public funeral with military honours will be held for Henry Allingham, who was the world's oldest man before his death at the weekend at the age of 113.
