Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum!

My name's Stuart, I'm 18 and I'm currently studying tech teaching at Glasgow Uni. I've had a look around the forum a couple of times and I quite like the place so I decided that I may as well sign up!

I used to work in the cash converters, so I've got a good enough knowledge of TV and satellite set-ups, and also it being a pawn shop I've come across a right few dodgy things as well!

Normally spend alot of time playing guitar, hockey and generally enjoying the nightlife of glasvegas, so if anyone has any questions on either of those hobbies then ask away!

Cheers.
:D

Hi Stuz,
What's a student doing up at this time in the morning? :D
Only joking mate, welcome to the forum.

Regards,
Ollie

Tell us more!

If you've got enough horror stories Rolf might be tempted to open a new section. Perhaps we could call it Dodgy Dealings?

Haha, mainly just people coming in with dodgy stolen stuff. We stopped taking in car stereos because of the amount of shady looking people who'd come in carrying them with the wires literally trailing behind them was unreal!

Had a guy try and sell 5 fully scripted and ready to go dboxes. But he left pretty quick when I pretended to be dim about it and said, 'is it not illegal to not have to pay for all these extra channels' :D

Had one guy bring in an 80cm satellite dish, although it had no wall brackets or anything. So I guess someone would be pretty pissed off when they wake up and find that someone had unscrewed their dish from the bracket!

You'll need to forgive me for saying earlier that I have an alright knowledge of satellites etc, because reading around the forums I clearly dont. Its made me realise I dont have a clue at all when I've never even heard of the stuff I'm reading about! :P Too many E13's this and W14's that... Whatever the hell that means... :D

Well the nice thing about this hobby, is that you can get involved in as much depth as suits you. :)
