Hello everyone, I'm very new to the site as I could really do with some help and advice if possible regarding having a Sky setup for the very first time in our recently completed new build modern bungalow in London. At the moment we have a TV and broadband package from 'Now TV' which, now we have settled in to our property, needs to be replaced with hopefully Sky Q with Sky's broadband offering (we are not fibre compatible in this area yet). I'm extremely thick about what I have in place and what I need to get someone to do, so hopefully I might get some advice from you lovely people, I'm not in any way a DIYer so will need to get someone in...........here's some relevant info: The developer has placed TV points in 4 of the rooms and has run 2 cables per point back to a cupboard in our open plan kitchen living room, so now we have 8 x 'Webro WF 100 PVC CAT I, single core cables' hanging down in this cupboard. They have then run 4 similar cables from this location to an outside 'snorkel point' on the wall outside which I assume is for a satellite dish to be connected to? (I told you I was thick about all this!). This cupboard also houses our electric immersion tank but there is room in there (hopefully) for whatever is required for them to all be connected to! The TV that we will be mainly using is on the other side of the room to this cupboard but has a TV point next to it. Now I'm assuming that it wouldn't be wise to get the Sky installers over to do this installation by what I've been reading about their general work ethic but I really need to know what exactly needs to happen for me to get a successful instal and a rough ballpark cost, can anyone advise please? Our house sits 'behind roadside houses' and therefore is too far from the road to consider Virgin Media so I think it's a Sky instal or nothing....... Just off to a part time job so won't be able to respond until this evening but thanks in advance if anyone can help. Rgards Miike
