My thoughts as well (and/or maybe use a wood chisel?) , but do it gently as you might crack off more than you want .
PS: if there is wood there, then you might have a lathe-and-plaster ceiling - how old is that house?
The bungalow was built in 1968.

Slight edits:
The "Middle Ages" comment from Lazarus apart (!), a ceiling of that age is almost certainly 1/3" or 1/2" thick plasterboard nailed onto the joists- so gently drill a hole or two and then enlarge it/them with a screwdriver, wood chisel or a knife with a long and sharp blade, but do that gently as well and don't push too hard to avoid cracking off large chunks of plaster around the hole.

Just lost my uncle to an Asbestos related illness and my Grancha died from it too.
It really isn't something to mess around with.

Can you change the LNB's to Unicable (assuming you don't have that). It might save you adding more cables as each unicable can support four receivers (but for the same satellite without using DiseqC.). This one has two legacy and one Unicable and can support a total of six receivers with three cables.

Only one of the cables will be sat coax, I need to put some between motor cable in.

Sorry to hear this.
In the sixties, they built houses here for immigrants made from asbestos, because it was cheap material and nobody knew how dangerous they can be.

Mate it's absolutely everywhere here, was commonly mixed with cement, plaster, you name it, to me I don't like the environment agencys take on "low risk" asbestos such as corrugated asbestos cement garages ect, far too many cowboy companies will take these down for a price and then fly tip them the f#*kers.

It’s was very easy to do with a round file. It looked just like plaster board.

I now have new 4 core cable going from the lounge to the back.

Still got a couple more cables to add, then I can pop the conduit back on and tidy it up a bit.
