Hi

My horizon was working fine since yesterday , it wont start? just flashes and beeps and then turns off no picture on screen just light?

Could it be battery or bigger fault? Also is it possible to repait for a reasonable price?

Is there a reset button to press? Alternatively disconnect the battery for a few moments.
 
I have a Horizon Meter that shows similar faults if it is left upside down for a long period of time !?!

When i turn it on the screen lights up but with no display whatsoever, all the functions work as per norm but LCD is blank, if i leave it the right way up for a few days the screen display works again.

I did send it back for repair at a cost of £80.00 and they sent me back a brand new replacement in return although this also does exactly the same if its tipped upside down for long periods of time so when charging i ensure its stood the right way up :)

I dont really use it now just keep it on the van for a spare.
 
My screen on my V3 HDSM has gone, I have it checked by a professional elec. So I rang Horizon to see if I can buy a replacemet screen, I was told it was going to cost £100+£25+postage as they will not sell me a screen so I would have to send it too them to fix.Does anyone know of the part no or where to get these parts from.Cheers
 
Horizon is good,its cheap and functional.(its is very economical)
but cant hold heavy usage in harsh business or bad storage.
if you are forced to use upside,outdoor in bad weather...etc
Then switch to another brand such as "Agilent"its a divison of HP!
