Hi all, sorry my first post is for help, but here goes.
My boys disconnected my 500s to use their xbox and when i reconnected 2 days later i cannot receive any horizontal polarity channels, all vertical channels work fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance

Welcome tot he forum mick

Sorry I missed your post yesterday, I was having broadband problems again. Yes I suspect they have not switched the stb off first before connecting their Xbox. So I suspect your diagnosis is spot on. However as lnb's only cost a tenner these days they can make it up out of their pocket money in a couple of weeks :D

Might not be the LNB - the polarity switching circuit in the STB may have suffered due to a short at the LNB input. Normally there's some protection . Hopefully another LNB will prove otherwise - as Topper said they're cheap enough these days.
