hotbird through communal dish

hi

can anyone help

first new here so i'm unsure if this is the right place ask my question

i am on a communal dish set up with just one feed wire

i wish to to know if i was to disconect my sky panasonic receiver and plug in say a technomate 1500 would i be able get hotbird (do i need to do this or can i get the channels from hotbird by tuning my sky box?)

the dish is quite large however i can't say ifit is 60cm or 90cm

any help would great

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

No Neil, the dish will be pointing at Astra 28.2 East, so that is all you will get I'm afraid.

Hi Neil if you want to play with Hotbird, you are going to have to put another dish up.
