how far u can get from uk for 80 cm dish

My Satellite Setup
SKY PLUS, BT OPENWORLD
hi folks and expert,

just general question, average dish 80cm motorised and tm1500 , just receiving 42 w to 45 E,

i like to get 68.5 E PAS10 , anyone advise please:dish size

or i gather it is below horizon.

my location=52N 1 E

You must be twixt Colchester and Ipswich, your elevation to that bird is approx 5 degrees above the horizon. Have a look at h**p://w*w.flysat.com/pas10.php to check if there is anything worth trying to look for, you never know your luck unless you try.
With that size dish you should get a signal from 58 west strong BT test cards and I would have thought that you would pick something up off of 53 east as well. An old friend of mine from Martlesham Heath could pick up those satellites with an 85cm dish. Just make sure that you have line of sight ie no trees/buildings in the way.
