How to turn a standard TV into a Smart TV

Freeview
My Location
UK
I have a Samsung digital TV but its not a smart TV how can I convert this TV into a Smart TV so I can access lovefilm, netflix and on demand TV like iplayer and channel 4od. I dont have a internet connection near my TV so will need to be wifi if possible ?

Could look into a media system or a Android G-box midnight....
 
Something like a Roku and 2 internet smart Homeplugs?
 
PS3 is the best option.
 
Raspberry pi + XBMC. Cheap and cheerful.

In truth you'll get less android on your TV than phone as it won`t call or text but there maybe droid apps for the phone to control the TV

You can buy an android TV USB type stick with remote for around £10 that you plug into a spare HDMI slot on the TV or a Now TV box for £10 but as mentioned above, XBMC is the way forward, I'm playing with it at the moment and its great

Seconded! With WiFi dongle and there's an app to use your Android phone as remote control
