How to upload keys?

Much the best way is to download the latest Triple Dragon keyfiles from somewhere like h**p://dvb.lv/index.php to your PC and transfer them over to the /var/keys folder of TDman, using the ftp program in the TDC 1.2 application.
If you can't find an up-to-date TD keyfile, use the latest Dreambox keyfile and ftp over the softcam.key and keylist.txt to the TD's /var/keys folder.
Having said that, I understand the latest TDman image has the ability to download keys from a server straight to your key folder.

First question, yes.
The (working) keys you upload will be for those providers that are at present compromised, and if you look at them in a text editor, they will usually tell you which provider they go with.
If you are set up for Hotbird 13E and Astra 19E, Pr*miere and D + are presently 'available' on Astra, and the T P S bouquet on Hotbird.
D + keys usually have to be updated about twice a day at present.

A reminder that you need to start an emulator for it to work with your keys - (menu - extras - bmtoy - configure emu). Mgcamd is a good one to use, as it will auto update Pr*emiere and T P S (although with the latter, you need to go to the transponder that provides the AU data and wait a minute or two for the channel to clear (France 4 or any channel on Hotbird 10873V).

Okay so all going well except, the locked channels are just showing black? I have updated via the update plugin inside TDman. But no luck..
What exact folder do I put the 'keys' folder downloaded here h**p://dvb.lv/index.php I have tried placing the folder in the /var/ directory but it has not worked, any ideas?

Haven't got that image at present on my TD, but for sure you will have a keys folder somewhere in the var dir.
See, originally I had put my keys + scce (?) folder in there from the downloaded package. But nothing happened --------------- here I am so I deleted it, and put in a latest one into the /var/ directory. From what I can see there is no 'tdman' folder in the var directory.

TDman isn't a folder. It's the image.
Tried the TDman image and have no problems updating keys either entering new keys or updating via the server.
If manually entering keys try rebooting the TD after entering.
Sure your emu (mgcamd or evocamd) is enabled?

Go to Menu - Extras - Bmtoy - Configure. In Emu mode find Mgcamd and enable. Then OK it.
When you now go to a channel you will see Mgcamd in the screen bar.

You won't open anything on Eurobird/Astra 28E as they are encrypted in Videoguard (unless you have a S*Y card, which you can use in the TD approprately configured).

Use Mgcamd with newcs in the Bmtoy emu configuration menu, it should work with your card in the TD's slot. (Might have to wait a minute or two for it to open. Provided your dish is pointing to 28E. Not 19E.
