HRT Croatia Package details. The radio channels are FTA, the TV channels are open (FTA) for several hours every day according to below:

HRT1: Encrypted from 00.00 to 06.45 am, and after that it is FTA, unless there is a programme that is copyrighted, it will be encrypted.
HRT2: Encrypted 24/24
HRT Plus: Encrypted 10.00 am to 02.00 am and FTA from 02:00 to 10:00

Tried several times to buy a smartcard, but I always get a polite reply that it is only for Croatian citizens.

I am Croatian, and there is no way that card is only for Cro citizens.
In all the EX Vu they are selling cards.
Any how if you like I can get you one.

I phoned HRT TV and they told me the card can only be sold

to croatian citizens/ex pats...

They also gave me a "contact" number in London who "may be able to help" but the number was unavailable ????

I would really like a viewing card before christmas if poss can anyone

help please
 
Ok there is no problem to buy a card if you pay a 1000Kn (and a bit more)! 1000Kn is around 140 Euros, dont know that in pounds. This is for 1 year subscription.
If you like to buy a card, we can arange it.
 
-www.xe.com is an excellent site for currency conversions, although at the moment the £ is more or less the same value as the Eu!
 
OK evntually got a card sorted but its a very long winded process HRT seem very reluctant to help but i pestered them
so much they eventually gave me a london phone number and now have card so HRT up and running as well as local croatia
tv (beautifull country) they show some great english/american films/series with croatian subtitles and original english audio
