Hi all,

Newbie here located in London. I currently have a sky mini dish and Grundig receiver which gives me the free view channels.

I have been looking on Ebay and have come across the following item:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=29784&item=5701658043&rd=1

If I bought it and connected it up from the mini dishes wires would this enable me to pick up all the channels? ( Box office, sky sports, movies, etc etc)

Or would I have to buy another dish for me to be able to connect up this unit. Also can someone have a look at the auction and tell me whether Ill need to buy a "matrix card" or something similar in order to pick up the channels. Or is this unit ready to go.

If it is ready to go how long will it last before it needs reprogramming etc? Or does it last forever?

Sorry for the many questions - but please help if you can

Thx!

They are a quite nice receiver, but they will not get you the BSkyB channels, you need a genuine subscription card to go in your digibox for them.

There is lots of information here as to which satellites are best to point at, but apart from the genuine free to air channels, nothing is guaranteed.

Hi

I have a sky card thats already in the box. Its the same one that was used when I had some subsciptions taken out with sky last year.

Would it work then?

It would work in your Sky Digibox if you got it re-activated by Sky.
