I have just got myself the above receiver and would like to know if all the software needs up to date. It is a pre-patched reciever and when I look at the menus I get the following info:

HW version: Oak 1&2 2.1
SW version: HIC1.03.06+
Device driver version: DIC1.03.06+
SW last update: 10 aug 2001
Loader version: H2.08
System ID: 0016.0600
Current service: dsf



Conditional access

Euro 1-chip version: NEC v2.1


I don't know what most of that means
I got a fun card 4
 
the latest software patch available is ToH3.3 HoTplugged v5.3 and it is available on this site. your software looks to be the original humax firmware so if you want to view encrypted channels you will need to update it.
you will need a null modem cable and you can use your funcard4 with mach1 files or other 6in1 files available here too.
just checked and latest available here is hot 5.1, but dont go and download any old version off any dogey website as it might kill your receiver, best to stick with whats here for the moment and only use tested and trusted software.
