Depending on the minimum pressure of Larry in the next 24 hours, there is a chance it will impact on Newfoundland and potentially Nova Scotia before the weekend, akin to hurricane Ophelia a decade ago.

Larry is moving slower than the experts predicted and is now growing rapidly. Storm force winds occuring across a 450 mile path.

High tropical force winds will hit Bermuda Friday with Newfoundland now on warning for the weekend. Iceland could also get a large amount of rain shortly after.
