I am beginning to have doubts

I recently updated my diablo cam to underworld 161 and tried it to see what channels would clear which was not a lot.so I tried a little experiment and removed the cam to see if I could get any scrambled channels and the result was interesting. With the cam removed I could get the same scrambled channels which seems to indicate that they are now free to air. Having tryed numerous keys from various sites with no success I am beginning to doubt whether the cam is of any further use and to be quite honest am beginning to think that it is a total waste of time and effort. The keys list on the cam shows many keys said to be OK for 13E etc but when I try them nothing works even though the current channel keys edit shows a key present. So I have my doubts as to the autenticity of the keys I am aquiring and further more wheather my diablo cam works any more. Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problems. Yes the cam was brilliant when I first bought it but now for me virtualy useless so can any one point me to something that works or is this cam now being reccomended on its past performance only.
 
There isn't a lot open on 13E at the moment, which is why a motorized dish is an essential.
Curremtly the Diablo Cam will open the following main packages:
DigitAlb 16E, except the HD channels
SCT s_x channels on 9E
Canal Digital 1W and Digi TV 1W
These packages provide a wide variety of viewing sport, films and general entertainment.
 
You are right to be suspicious about the keys in the key bundles - its a common ruse to leave old keys in bundles for unavailable packages as it makes the bundle look "more important".

Which channels are you thinking are fta?


Theres very little open on keys these days, and the situation will get worse in a few weeks time when 1W goes black.

With the CAM out of the receiver, check on the channel Mezzo TV. If it is unavailable push the CAM in and see if it clears. If so then it is working.
 
Afternoon all.Again thanks for your replies.I do have a motorised Dish and am able to get Hotbird, astra, eurobird, and hispasat but am having trouble at the moment getting eutelsat.My dish has to be situated it the back garden for planning reasons and therefore is possibly causing my problems with eutelsat. I have checked the alignment with my sat finder but still no luck with eutelsat for the moment but as ever will keep trying. As for having a hobby or mental illness, well I have been called barmy on numerous occasions particularly by my wife when I keep persistantly trying different keys on the system with no luck. So mickha you are the likely expert what do you predict to be the next gadget to take over from Diablo cam 2.2/2.3 or is it getting to the point where the providers will have it all boxed off in which case i will have to go out and get a viewing card arrgh what a thought. There are whispers of new gadgets and a mate of mine reckons he has seen a box that had everything cracked but for how long that worked I don't know. So I am looking for the next experimental investment if you can call it that.

When it comes to 13 East, Eutelsat IS Hotbird, unless you are not explaining things in a way I can understand.

Eutelsat W3A 7.0°E
Eutelsat W2M 9.5°E
Eutelsat W1 10.0°E
Eutelsat W2 16.0°E
Eutelsat W6 21.6°E
Eutelsat W4 36.0°E
Eutelsat W5 70.5°E
 
Sorry for the inaccuracy. It is eutelsat W2 that comes up on my reciever as preloaded, I would have to add the others as user sats then rename them. I will have to have a look at lyngsat again for the listings but i didn't realise there were so many. Which would you reccomend I try first.
