I purchased the Sat link WS6912, in the satellite list has no Hispassat. There are any possibility to add the satellite in the meter?

I have a new Satlink WS-6912 meter, it wil not locate any satellites becouse it is faulty and the store SATPRO in Miami Florida, who solded to me will not help I would like to say this to everyone please please don't wast your money on any SATLINK Product. what you see on the internet about the product is not what it is for real it is a fake products all SATLINK WS 6902 TO SATLINK WS 6912. Stay away from this product I just paid over $350. and all I See is EUROPIAN SATLITE NOT a single Satalite that is for U.S. I try to upgrade with the cd that come with it and it is a useless can't load any software.
 
With the greatest of respect, the fact that you have the wrong satellite database on the meter does not make it faulty, it just means that you need to upload the database for the Americas.
 
OK lets get it straight, they are no good for use in the US if they have european sats programmed into them. I've used one over here in the UK and ok its not the best but it does what it says on the tin as long as you have the correct sats programmed into it.

In the UK we have Trading standards which gives some protection against being sold things that are not fit for the use they were intended for. In the UK if you are sold a faulty product the trader has to replace it by law. I'm sorry that this is not the case in the US.

You need to take this up with the company you purchased this meter from. Just because your meter doesn't work it doesn't mean that every other one that is made will be the same.

None of what you have posted is really relevent as this is a mostly European forum so i doubt if anyone here could help you with the issues you are having as we cannot see the same satellites as you can.

I suggest you ask for help over on one of the forums that covers your part of the world.

The meters are cheaply made products from china, with no support regardless what you are promised, saying that the satellites and transponders are editable by hand, you get what you pay for, In my honest opinion stay well away from them, iv tried them and their results that is shown on the screen when pointing are not true.
I believe their a cheap copy of the trimax meter maybe 2200 model, I had a problem with mine that ws bought from a supplier in germany (main one) and when i asked about new firmware was given an email address for sui son jue in china,,,,,,,,,,never heard anything from him :-rofl2
 
I have to say that I have a Satlink Digital WS6906 DVB-S FTA Satellite Finder Meter and I have found it quite useful. I am however thinking of buying an FS1 First Strike which seems to my uninformed eye might be better.
 
I have a similar model. These meters are simply a set top box in a small package. The screen is not very good in daylight, but other than that, for a basic quick alignment job, it works, and like a STB, you can manually edit transponders etc, so, there is no reason why it won't work outside Europe, as long as you know what you are doing.

True, though, not seen any updates, software or channel lists for it. I consider it almost as a very cheap disposable item.
 
Very true about being able to view the screen in bright sunlight. Also the font on the menus is very small; but as Robbo says it does the job here in Europe with only a little knowledge.

I tried the 6908, and I thought it was crap. I sent it back to China and I bought the FS1, which has been brilliant. I found the sensitity on the Satlink so poor, it would be easier to find a sat with a £10 meter.
 
I also have a Digital Satlock (Magic Finder) which will tell me which satellite I am looking at when it finds it. Does the FS1 identify which satellite in the same way?.

No, but I setup my moving system using the FS1 with no problems. I just programmed the meter, and obtained a reference Sat and picked up the Sats I wanted.
 
U means that this is not good in any means what about if we compare with any other meter with the same specifications can u advice.

I have a problem with it. It doesn't show DVB-S2 signals.
sometimes it shows signal but after a few seconds it fades away.
and signal power and quality bars get grey.
I'm so sad!
Is there any way to fix it?
in DVB-S signals it's perfect but for DVB-S2 it's totally useless.
Please help me.

Is the Dealer also in Iran, or did you purchase the Meter elsewhere?

It's supposed to measure s2 but it wont show the picture, Dealer not taking responsibility, thats familiar with these meters, I believe one of the forum sponsors made a post regarding these meters and their reliability, think it was cdtronics, maybe wrong
 
The best Satlink meter ~400euro, is the WS 6906 but is dont show DVB-S2 and MPEG4 signals.
Cost less than 200 euro.

I have a WS6906 but I would´t say it is the best. I do find it very useful in that it confirms the sats and channels once found. I do have another meter, a Sat Finder; which I use to find and identify the satellites as I move the dish. It tells me when it finds a sat and its name and channels carried. Most useful. It´s a little bit old now, so I am looking for another more modern to do what the Sat Finder does.

I have 6906 for two years and now i have buy 6912.
6912 don't have: channel list, channel list by satellite, delete channel, move channel, A-Z into the channels, delete satellite, create satellite. All of that is on 6906.
6912 have this options "but" only if you connect it to the PC. 6912 have spectrum analyzer but i prefer the other easy stuf from 6906.

Exactly, but there must be a not too expensive meter that identifies the satellites as it finds them as well as all the other features of the 6906.
