My DM8000 does not move the dish to the required satellite. I bought a new positioner and its still the same. I updated Enigma today, changed from input A to Input B but makes no difference. Checked all the settings by the book. Both positioners work fine on my Technomate 6800HD. I contacted Dream Multimedia and I am waiting for a response. I think I will send it back and let the credit card company sort it. :mad:

Have you tried an up to date satellites.xml file. And have you set an power management values in the tuner config ?

Thanks B16MCC. Did an update of satellites xml file from satellites-xml.eu/ but no difference. I got the setup for the tuner from a post somewhere in here but there is little info about it. Just scanning in some sats and storing positions. We will see.

Are you using Simple config ? If so enable power management or what ever its called and set it to 40mA.

I spent the afternoon doing various settings from simple to advanced with info from the web. Tried the simple at 40mA but it stays the same. I have scanned in 3 sats, all with good singlas and pictures are fine. Saved the positions. Goto sats in the menu, click on a different sat and the positioner box goes to off. Its the same with both positioners. Yesterday I installed the Enigma latest from DM. I will mail them again and see. Thanks for your ideas.

Can you explain this mate please ?

Are you using a 36v positioner ?
Is this why you refer to 'Storing Positions' ?

If you're using a diseqc motor then the setup couldn't be easier.
In the tuner Config menu select the tuner that is connected to the motor and set as follows.

Config. Mode = Simple
Mode = Rotor
Longitude = xx.xxx
West for a negative value or East for a positive.
Latitude = xx.xxx
North.

Use power management = Yes
Power Threashold in mA = 40
Rotor Turning Speed = Fast

Use Google earth and click on your house to get lat and long.
Power Managment means the box will allow the motor to pull 40mA in order to move the dish, if it exceeds this current loading it will stop the diseqc command in order to protect your equipment. If this happens your motor is stuck !

I strongly recommend you install Nabilo Blackhole 0.12
Let me know what you think of this please mate.

Yes 36v Jaeger motor. I will install anything that helps. Thanks for your input.
