Can anyone please help me with ‘timed recording’? I can set it all up - recording onto a USB - but when it comes to the ‘duration’ it skips back to the first item on the menu. I have managed to record and playback. It’s just this duration bit. Thanks.

Hi Sally welcome to the forum, I do not have an Icecrypt STB however, I would have thought you would not need to set the duration of any program you record, as normally once you have set it the program will record until the hidden signal stops being broadcast for that program. I am not able to elaborate further however someone else may be able to.

Thanks. Problem is that I’m not relying on a program as such, just the particular channel and start time. I can’t put in finish time or duration of the program.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
It's could be the file format of the USB drive/stick - probably needs to be FAT32, and not NTFS or ExFat.

Yes Sally that is what I suspect the problem is. In order to record any TV program the broadcaster sends out a signal hidden in the broadcast transmission. This is done so that a recording device knows when the program is being transmitted as schedules often change on the day of broadcast. So to avoid disappointment broadcasters ensure recording begins when this hidden signal is transmitted. So even if the schedule is altered, the program will begin recording when the hidden signal is transmitted and end recording when the hidden signal stops being transmitted. Assuming you are going on the program guide and pressing record against a specific program I am therefore unclear what your issue is as you say you can and have recorded and played back programs.
