No chance, far too dangerous to have a brain (besides, some bright spark might decide to offer them to women)....., Humping

Ahem, its Chomondley-Warner

C-W: Look at this motor car. A BEAUTY, isn't it? It's got twenty
years happy motoring ahead of it - or has it? Here comes a woman!

[woman walks up to the car]

C-W: Which side's she getting in? The driver's side! Oh, dear - the WRONG side.

[woman is now behind the wheel, bouncing around]

Woman: Gosh! What lovely comfy seats!

C-W: Yes, but this isn't a DRAWING room, my dear. It's a complicated motor vehicle, based on the principles of the internal combustion engine. A machine FAR too complicated for you to understand.

Woman: But I know about embroidery and kittens - won't that suffice?
Oh, blow it - I'm going to have a try!

[woman cranks the engine, selects a gear, then shoots off backwards straight into a brick wall]

Woman: Oops!

C-W: See? NOW look what you've done. Your pretty little mind simply can't cope with the motor car.

[woman looks suitably chastened]

C-W: WOMEN, FOR PITY'S SAKE, DON'T DRIVE!

:D

Why can't they build it all into one smart card that knows all you credit card companies, warehouse passes, ID cards etc?
Because you'd be f**ked if you lost it!

You may of course be a little more careful with it if it was that important. ;)

As an avid watcher of those Police-Crime-Stop type programmes that appear on the BBC and SKY on a daily basis, the number of times they stop people who they think are disqualified, these guys then say "I'm John Brown(or whatever)" and the police spend the next four hours trying to find out who the guy really is.

(And normally he is a disqualified driver).

With an ID card you could just say "Show me your ID. Not got it, Oh that's a £250 fine and a visit to the cop shop"

I am also slightly wary about the civil liberties aspect, it would depend on who has the right to ask you to produce your ID?
