Do YOU want to pay the millions of pounds in extra transmission rights every year for multiple channels? And why would ITV want to transmit to Spain anyway - all they are interested in is serving adverts to the regions.At the end of the day the viewers wishes arent important.

The revenue generated by subscribers is almost insignificant but subscriber numbers are very important in advertising terms. IF there was a system like this then a quantifiable number of viewers across Europe could be very usefull in selling advertising.
