Hi - I have recently installed a small LG wall-monted TV in my
kitchen and connected a Sky HD box. While I am very pleased with the
picture quality the sound from the TV is awful.
Does anyone know of a small speaker system I could connect to improve the TV sound.
Ideally this would be a speaker bar - type device small enough to sit on
top of my Sky HD box which is on a shelf beneath the wall-mounted TV.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Could not agree more some half decent soundbars now retail for under £50 if you get so called last years models so to speak

Thank you. Any sound bar recommends? I couldn't find anything smallish and reasonably priced.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

If your model has an option for audio enhancement for the hard of hearing, turn it on

You can try adjusting the wall mount so that the television is closer to the wall, if it is in a corner however there is unlikely to be any advantage.

I was in the same situation, I also wanted to add a subwoofer for more bass as well as a soundbar using an optical digital audio feed from the TV - had a demo of the Yamaha YAS-152 and was very impressed so went with that, it also works wonders for dvd or blu ray sound.

Are they the ones that say you have to buy it in store? As most if the website is not really for sale (online)

If it is join the VIP club and you get 10% off (if I remember right)

Have bought many times online and in store from Richer Sounds and cannot fault them for customer service and price. My Marantz SR4200 (receiver)still perfect after 12 years with DTS and DD5.1 as are the mordaunt short MS25is (front speakers) , who need a sub? Been a few years since I bought anything as it all still works.
