In space can anyone hear you scream?

Not sure why they are testing this as we all know there can be no transmission of sound waves in a vacuum, so apart from being an expensive proof what is the purpose?
 
Maybe they're going to test it with the Mars oldies?

For sure they will both be stone deaf before takeoff, if they have any sense at all
