Its no secret why its restricted for new members - we had a spate of problems with spammers abusing the pm system a while back.

Most folks dont need pm in their first few weeks on the forum anyway, but for those with a legit reason we will turn it on.
 
had a motorised system installed by captain jack and it was done flawlessly , he is considerably knowledgeable and has helped me out with minor things after the install was completed. i highly recommend.

Captain Jack carried out a motorised installation for a colleague of mine. He did a good job at a sensible rate, highly recommended if he covers your area, you will not be disappointed.
 
Just to add to the glowing reputation of CJ, I have had him out on 2 occasions and he has been excellent both times, great knowledge of all things satellite and his workmanship and professionalism in my part of the world is yet to be matched
