In a few days, Intelsat 17 will be joined by two inclined satellites!

66.2° E: Galaxy 27, inclination 0.5°, 11700...12200 MHz (arrives about 30 Sep)
65.8° E: Intelsat 26, inclination 5.1°, 12250...12750 MHz (arrives about 2 Oct)

Expecting only additional data services, to the already fully used Intelsat 17.

Both Galaxy 27 and Intelsat 26 have now arrived at above mentioned positions!

Intelsat 26 has left 65.8°E, moving West slowly with 0.3°/day.
This old (1997) Japanese satellite was only military use from that location I think (Japan-shaped footprint over Afghanistan). Next location still unknown, should last until 2017Q3 according Intelsat.

Intelsat 26 will arrive at 62.2°E on 30 October.
