The plan was to move Intelsat 805 from 55.5 West to 50.0 West (co-located with Intelsat 1R).
I guess that plan will be cancelled or postponed now.
 
On the launch video its quite clear the engine shut down at about T +25 seconds. :(
 
I wonder how much monies worth is at the bottom of the ocean?

Whilst there is a chance it was the first stage failing, initial reports suggest the rocket veered way off course within the first six seconds of clearing the gantry.

Space officials said the likely cause of the crash is an engine shutdown due to an incorrect launch trajectory. "Most likely due to high ocean waves, the rocket took a wrong trajectory right off start, that's where the system began sending auto-commands for a halt," Interfax reported, quoting a source in a space bureau.

High ocean waves? That hadn't been factored into the launch? If there were ever a launch from the UK and it failed would there be a press release like "yeah - sorry the launch failed but it was raining you see....."?
