Read it yesterday, "How does this 1950s behemoth survive", incredible indeed.
Then went on to Boeing B-52 Stratofortress - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, which offered a zillion links about aspects of warplanes, engines etc.
Ended up on this one, Heinkel He 177 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, quite a story trying to get this one to work!
& The russian counterpart from the 50's, still in use Tupolev Tu-95 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
